Beginner Knitting Patterns

Generating traffic with Squidoo is often the same as generating traffic any other way: provide your reader with good information, back it up whenever you can, and communicate with them as often as possible. Here are some intermediate ways to generate traffic with Squidoo.

Offer Advice
If you have a website where you sell knitting supplies, you might put some information on your site about yarns, techniques, and advice for beginners. You could even break your site up into different sections; beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Once you have your site set up, direct people to it through Squidoo as you write your advice column.

Offer Freebies
Again for the knitting business, you might try offering free patterns on your regular site for all levels of knitters. Then for the beginner you could offer suggestions right on your Squidoo page. Because your Squidoo page relies on traffic also, you can direct people from your web page to your Squidoo site as well.

Keep Updating
One of the things readers hate the most is wasting time on old news. Update your page as often as you can. If your Squidoo page is for business support, then update it every time you update your website, and maybe post a new article or opinion in between those times.

A Third Resource
When you write blogs, set up a MySpace page, participate in other marketing campaigns, reference your website and the information on your Squidoo page. It will help you gain a reputation as an expert.
