A World of Warcraft Pet can be bought from a NPS or acquired from a quest, some World of War Craft Pets are also rare items or player made. These pets(bears, wolves, gorillas etc) can can be compared to pets in the real world but also have their differences.

A WoW Hunter has many different variations of pets to choose from, that fall into 23 different wow pet families and three main categories: Tank pets, DPS pets and Middle-of-the-road-pets, each category has a lot of advantages and disadvantages. As for me, cats are the best pets in WoW. I also like bears and wolves, but cat is my favorite pet.
What should I know about pets?
Even though WOW Pets do have some limited capabilities such as fighting, similar to real life pets they really don't do much of anything except provide companionship.
