Respect French Language When Learning It

Learning the French language is fit for the serious ones. Why is this so? It's simply because French people does not like English-speaking tourists using the French language in the wrong kind of way. There has been many situations where the French language is misused and the French people does not like to deal with it.


How would you feel if you hear somebody trying to use your language incorrectly? People who tries to learn a language other than their own is different from people who uses it just for the sake of speaking the language without actually thinking about the outcome it may generate from nearby locals.


There could be many differences why a person is learning a new language and if you are one of these people, make sure that you do it the right way. French people does not tolerate attitude from tourists who does not. Even if you think that you are trying to say a French phrase the best way you can, French people may not see it this way. The chance of receiving a cold shoulder or being completely ignored can happen so don't take it too personally. That is why, if you want to learn the French language, it is just appropriate that you study the language the properly. Take everything you see and hear in the French world a challenge.


A good suggestion is to start learning the correct pronunciation. There may be similar letters that are used in the English language but in French, it is used in a different way. For example, a double letter 'll' in from an English word is pronounced as "lia" or "ly" but in French, it is pronounced as "y" only. Just like how Germans pronounce the word "ja".


You are still yet to learn so many diversities in the French language and its just appropriate that you seek help from an expert or somebody who speaks the French language fluently. This does not mean though that you have to spend big amount of money to do this. You have many alternatives and one is to ask a friend if he/she knows somebody who speaks French. If not, you can at least take advantage of online resources. Programs that offer French lessons are abundant and you can choose which program you want to use without ruining your budget.
